Finest Collection of
Religious Art Expands to
Downtown Greenville

One of the finest collections of religious art in the world resides right here in Greenville at the Bob Jones University Museum & Gallery, and features more than 400 paintings dating from the 14th to 19th centuries. Many of these works are by European Old Masters from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, including major artists Van Dyck, Rubens, Reni, Tintoretto, Cranach, Le Brun, Ribera, and Murillo. The collection has now become even more accessible to the general public as the Museum & Gallery opened a satellite location at downtown Greenville’s Heritage Green, at the former site of the historic Coca-Cola bottling plant. Works from the BJU main gallery will rotate to the Heritage Green location and are featured on the first floor which delivers a traditional museum experience. Upstairs, you’ll find a more hands-on educational experience targeted for various age levels. Once you see these pieces at Heritage Green, you’ll probably want to experience the amazing collection in its entirety on the BJU campus.
